Linda's job is to oversee the organization and make sure that everything is running smoothly, as well as following our mandate. She also has to ensure that we are following the directions of the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities, since they are our main funders. Linda does all of the evaluations and assessments. When someone new comes through our doors, Linda is the one who meets with them and helps to point them in the right direction (GED, prep class, Loyola Learning Centre). Christine's job is quite varied.
She is the person who does a lot of the paperwork, especially all the
government stuff. She takes care of the financial side of the
organization too.

Lori’s job changes a
lot. During any given year, she may be teaching in a classroom,
teaching
in the computer lab, planning events and activities for students, or
writing
curriculum. She’s written several employment-based curriculum
that are
used in literacy centres across Canada, including Skilled Trades
Helper, Food Processing Labourer, Cleaner, C-TAT
(County
Tourism Ambassador Training), and Cashier. She is
currently
writing a curriculum exploring Apprenticeship. She also
runs the
Trails Woodshop Program, which is an alternative classroom, one day a
week, as
well as doing the marketing and promotion for PELC.

| Keith Harford - Literacy and Basic Skills Instructor | |

Keith is an Instructor. He has a classroom that
has up to 12 people in it. His job is to help students learn the skills
necessary to complete their studies. Often Keith has to create learning
activities that will help students achieve a specific goal. He is
responsible for keeping track of where students are in terms of
Learning Outcomes and Levels. Keith also teaches teamwork skills in the
Social Learning Group. He assists the students with Student Council
activities as well. Keith is also available to provide job
support to PELC students.
